Just got some images sent to me of the project I carried out for a group show at the Lewis Glucksman Gallery. “The Found Bookmark Project” involved collecting objects from between the pages of books in the Library of the University College Cork (the gallery is on campus). Here are some of the photos.
This video on Youtube shows a kinetic sculpture at the BMW Museum which is made of 714 metal balls on strings. It was produced by a German company called ART+COM.
Here is an interesting short documentary about a street artist in Montreal named Roadsworth who is being prosecuted by the city. He is a little like Banksy but without the inane political bullshit. There are some interesting clips from a local radio show – a caller to the show says “City property is private property…I don’t care what anyone thinks”!
All of David Shrilgey’s animations are now up on youtube. Some were already on there unofficially but he has now uploaded his other videos. Here is one called Laundry
Here is a “model calculation of a copper particle with the size of 17000 atoms – a cluster which plays a role in catalytic processes.” from this website of the research center DESY in the west of Hamburg
The photo I got of the show aren’t the best and I don’t have a good enough image of the biggest piece I had in the show but I hope to have some better ones in a couple of weeks when the show finishes. The work on the walls is by Debra Bowden - more about the show here
